2 Year Old Strangled To Death By Family's Snake

2 Year Old Strangled To Death By Family's Snake

A little girl named Shaiunna Hare was strangled by a Burmese python after it escaped a terrarium in the families home. When the snake escaped, it ended up in the toddlers bedroom. The mother's boyfriend Charles Jason Darnell is the owner of the snake and discovered that the snake was missing. The boyfriend and the mother of the toddler went looking for the snake and they whined up going in the toddlers room where they found the snake wrapped around the toddlers neck. Shaiunna had bite marks on her head from the snake. Charles Darnell repeatedly stabbed the snake until he was able to pry the toddler away. At that time it was too late.

When the 911 call was made to the dispatcher it was stated," Our stupid snake got out in the middle of the night and strangled the baby." However, authorities did not identify the caller and the name was removed from the recording. After authorities obtained a search warrant the snake was removed from the home.

It was stated that the boyfriend does not have a permit for the snake, which would be a second-degree misdemeanor, which was stated by spokesperson of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commision. However, noone has been charged for the tragic incident. There will be an investigation to see if there was any child neglect.

My condolences goes out to the toddlers family. It was a terrible thing that happened to this baby. She did not even start her life and it was taken away from her in minutes. She is a little angel in the heavens above watching over her loved ones.
